In recent years, due to its high precision, high power, reliable transmission efficiency, stable operation, convenient installation and disassembly, the gear motor has been widely used in many fields. The lubrication of gear motor is not only the base for the normal operation but also the section that is easy to failure, accounting for about 25%of the failure accident. So, for improving the working efficiency and bearing capacity, it is necessary to improve the lubrication mode.
1, The Lubrication of Gear Motor:
For the gear motor, lubrication refers to the lubrication of gear pair mesh point and bearing. For the lubrication of mesh point, it is to form a good lubricating oil film between tooth surfaces, which is used to prevent the direct contact between the tooth surfaces, to decrease the friction, and improve the load capacity.
If the lubrication is reasonable and in place, the transmission efficiency and heat dissipation capacity of gear motor will be improved, and the impact will be eased, the rust resistance will be improved. So the vibration and noise will be reduced, the work efficiency will also be improved. Lubrication is a prerequisite for efficient and stable operation.
However, in the application, the lubrication effect of the gear motor is hard to meet the requirement of working. If the vent hole of the gear motor is located on the upper part of the box, it will cause the pollution of lubricating oil in the dusty working environment. Using the plate cooler with poor cooling effect will affect the viscosity of oil in the high temperature, to affect lubricating oil film, which will cause gear friction; the iron filing generated by the friction will cause the filter to block and fail, and even cause oil deterioration and gear wear;
Also, it is very easy to affect the side clearance between the gears due to the increase of vibration effect, which will result in the sharp wear of gear surface due to the dry friction in meshing. At this time, even if the performance of lubricating oil is excellent, it is very difficult to work. So, it is necessary to improve the lubrication mode of gear motor to ensure a good lubrication effect.
2, The Improvement of Lubrication Mode of Gear Motor
From the above, we can see that the defect of the lubrication system of gear motor is the main factor that leads to the unsatisfactory effect of lubrication. So, except for ensuring the reasonable selection of lubrication oil, right lubrication operation, it is also important to ensure the point-to-point lubrication in gear mesh point and bearing which is located above the oil level. And for the lower bearing, the oil immersion lubrication is carried out. Including, but not to the above mention. The improvement of lubrication mode should be based on the improvement of the lubrication system.
2.1 Add Oil Baffle at Proper Position
For the gear motor, in the process of oil immersion lubrication, ensuring the infiltration of high-speed gears, the low-speed gears have the problem of deep oil immersion. So, the oil stirring effect of the low-speed gears will directly affect the effectiveness of the oil immersion of high-speed gears, which will lead to the failure of high-speed lubrication, so the tooth surface will contact directly between each other and the phenomenon that the pitting or tooth erosion will occur. So, we can add an oil baffle to improve(as shown in picture 1).if the gear motor is welded box, the baffle can be directly welded, but the welding the seam should be treated in place. If it a cast box, the matching baffle should be cast in advance, or add similar oil baffles. But no matter what method is used, the bottom plate of each baffle should have a proper vent hole, which will make the oil level when the gear motor stops.
2.2 Use Double Cartridge Filter
For the gear motor which needs to be equipped with a pressure lubrication system, the filter is an important part of the lubrication system. And the original single cartridge filter has a certain restriction for the lubrication effect. So, it is necessary to use more convenient use and simple structure double cartridge filter. By one group of working and one group of standby, the problem that filter plugging can lead to oil deterioration and gear wear.
Specifically speaking, when the pressure difference of the inlet and outlet of the oil is more 0.04MPa, it means that there is a blockage problem. At this time, the transmitter in the filter will send a signal that the working filter element should be replaced, then open the pressure valve and adjust the reversing valve to make the spare filter element to work. So to the filter screen is replaced and cleaned, which will make the blockage problem solve in time. Considering the core component of the filter element has a high filtering accuracy, which is easy to break, so the polypropylene or bag filter element should not be used. And it should be cleaned regularly according to the oil pressure indication, to lay a strong foundation for the lubricating effect.
2.3 Optimize the Circulation of Lubricating System
Because the operation of the gear motor will make the temperature rise, which will make the temperature of lubricating oil rise. So it is reasonable to replace plate cooler with tube cooler, to maintain the viscosity of the lubricating oil by improving the cooling effect. At the same time, for the circulation problem of the lubricating system, the solution is to add an oil tank to clean the dust in the gear motor oil, to prevent unnecessary damage to the tooth surface and shaft.
2.4 Strength Daily Management of Lubrication System
Although the lubrication effect of gear motor can be improved by the reasonable selection of lubrication mode and the improvement of the lubrication system, it is also inseparable from daily management and maintenance. Therefore, to improve the lubricating effect, the daily management of the lubricating system should be strengthened. For example, before adding oil for gear, it is better to use the lower viscosity of oil to clean the gear reducer to remove the grease and impurities. When changing oil is required, the reasonable interval time should be mastered; for the lubricated gear, the side clearance of gear pair should be detected regularly to keep the meshing surface clean and the side clearance reasonable. So the lubricating oil should be stored between the tooth profiles to form the lubricating oil film, to keep the normal operation of gear motor.
